In Shakespeare's day all the fun was on the south side of the river – outside the city walls and the city's rules. Here were the theatres, the bear-baiting pits, the taverns and the prisons. The route follows the Thames west from Tower Bridge. You meet London's tallest building, a ship that sailed around the world, the theatre that burned down and the bridge that swayed.

Godt at vide

The tour follows the riverside path and is flat. Borough Market is closed on Sundays, but the puzzle can be solved regardless.
