The Gothic Quarter is built on top of the Roman town of Barcino. The streets are so narrow that the sun barely gets in, and round every corner lies a small square.
On this tour you have to look up, look down and look behind things. The answers are on walls, under a bridge and at the top of a lamp post.
Good to know
The whole route is outdoors in narrow car-free streets and can be walked at any time. Flat. Mind your wallet – the area is known for pickpockets.
