One night in September 1666 a fire broke out in a bakery in Pudding Lane. Four days later medieval London was gone. The city that rose from the ashes is the one you walk through today. The route runs through the City – London's oldest square mile – from the Tower to St Paul's. You meet ravens, a garden in a ruin, a golden grasshopper and the cathedral that became the fire's great masterpiece.
