Mystery

The skeleton that rings the bell

A clock from 1410, five stars on a bridge and three faceless babies – the old town of Prague.

Prague escaped the bombs of the war, and the old town stands almost as it did five hundred years ago. The tour runs from the astronomical clock, across Charles Bridge and into Malá Strana. You have to look closely at figures, count stars and find sculptures unlike anything else.

Good to know

The whole route is outdoors and can be walked at any time. Charles Bridge is very crowded in the middle of the day; morning and evening are best. Cobbles all the way.
