Djurgården was the king's hunting park. Today the island is Stockholm's museum island, with the warship Vasa, the world's first open-air museum, ABBA and the country's oldest amusement park all in a row. The route is flat and easy and suits all ages. You walk from the bridge of the Norse gods to the gates of Skansen.

Good to know

Every stop is outside the entrances – you need no tickets. Flat and easy, and fine with a pushchair. Allow extra time if you want to go into the museums.

Starting point

Djurgårdsbron, at the Strandvägen end of the bridge
